   Mediation/ADR is a structured negotiation process in which an independent and highly trained neutral third party known as a Mediator assists disputing parties to identify and assess options and negotiate an agreement to resolve their dispute. The role of the mediator includes reducing the obstacles to communication, maximizing the exploration of alternatives, and addressing the needs of those involved and affected. In many instances, even long-standing disputes can be resolved in one or two sessions of Mediation.

   Mediation is a proven alternative to costly and time extensive litigation where the courts would force a decision on the parties. In fact, many courts mandate disputing parties to first try ADR/Mediation before litigation is pursued. 

   Mediation can also be used to help family members, friends, workmates, & business partners communicate & settle disagreements long before they reach the point of litigation.
